In a Google+ post, Google+ staffer +Pras Sarkar announced automatic Google+ comment spam filtering.
Google will try to identify spammy comments on Google+ user posts. Potential spam is grayed out for the post creator and invisible to other readers, until the poster either approves it or removes it. The actions of posters on marked potential spam will help train Google’s algorithms to get even better at catching spam.
Users are urged to still flag spam when when they it, as that helps train the system as well.
