Analysis
We begin our discussion with key stakeholders to understand goals, collect key marketing information, define KPIs, and set engagement expectations. Hive Digital audits your current analytics set-up to understand site wide tracking, goals and conversions, and local tracking recommendations.
Hive Digital’s initial phase of the engagement involves a series of unique audits and assessments which include:

Strategy
Every client is different. We do not offer a “cookie cutter” service package and specialize in customizing solutions for your specific needs.
Based on the findings from the discovery phase, we’ll craft a digital marketing strategy to fit your specific needs, goals, and budget. Benchmarking and establishing KPI’s is the first step followed by ensuring the strategy is focused on a cycle of analysis, ongoing discovery, implementation and measurement. We’ll always prioritize our efforts based on the projected impact on rankings as well as return on investment. Strategy recommendations are provided along with estimates of any resources needed and options for implementation.
Implementation
At this point we are available to assist with the implementation and recommendations and to guide you (or your developer) in the best practices on an ongoing basis. We’ll have a better idea of the marketing strategy once the audits and analysis are complete.
Implementation services begin as our team works with you to determine final priorities and develop a roadmap for executing on the recommendations provided in the audit. Our team can provide ongoing consultation post-audit and initial implementations to ensure the successful ongoing implementation by your technical teams.
Reporting and Communication
To effectively encourage desired user behavior, we must first understand how our users currently behave. Our efforts are focused on not only attracting new visitors to the site, but ensuring they are qualified visitors taking the actions we need to be successful.
As part of our onboarding process, Hive Digital will work with you to identify:
- KPI Tracking – Ongoing review of current analytics tracking and other tracking software, as well as conversion tracking to ensure accurate benchmarking, and effective testing and reporting to ensure return on investment. We will review of existing reporting, benchmarks, and key metrics to determine any tracking needs, concerns, or continuity of service requirements.
- User Personas – Efforts will be focused on identifying our key audience, so we can develop KPIs around the likely behavior of those users.
- Quality of Service Requirements – Discussions regarding reports and meeting cadence, preferred content delivery formats, and general workflow requirements.
Our services also include ongoing Analytics and KPI tracking to keep a pulse on the effectiveness of our strategies and growth trajectory. This ongoing service:
- Ensures effective reporting on agreed KPIs
- Provides review and assistance with implementing conversion tracking
- Measures user engagement and assists with measuring content effectiveness to provide recommendations to assist with decreasing bounce rate, increasing time on site, and other KPIs deemed a priority.
A detailed report will be delivered each month via your preferred medium (pdf, google sheet, excel, data studio). We will also request at least monthly calls to discuss progress and review reporting. We also perform a full performance review 6 months into the engagement as well as at the end to highlight areas or strength or improvement in our work processes as well as the overall performance of the site and agreed KPIs.
We will deliver a draft report of our findings, in your preferred medium, which will include prioritized recommendations and reasoning. A meeting is scheduled to review all findings and identify roles and responsibilities for implementing the recommended solutions. Hive Digital will revisit the draft report and recommendations based on any additional discovery during the audit review.
Optimization
Hive Digital will analyze and review data as it pertains to specific user engagement to glean insights into effective content, lacking content, and insights into where specific content should be delivered throughout the property. Hive Digital will do this by determining which content is or is not driving traffic. Content that has little to no engagement could be hurting the overall authority of the property and should potentially be archived or consolidated.
We will leverage toolsets to determine topical relevancy and comprehensiveness of priority pages. In doing so, we’ll identify gaps in content at the page level, the site level, key internal linking opportunities and identify unsatisfied audience intent profiles. Hive Digital will also review user’s search queries to determine content opportunities and priorities for delivery. Organic and paid search queries give us valuable insight into potential missed opportunities for content creation.
Management
Hive Digital will provide ongoing services to assist with the implementation of recommendations determined from the findings in initial phase and maintaining the site per best practices. Specific priorities will be determined once the audits and analysis are completed as part of the initial phase.
Retainer and implementation services begin as our team works with you to determine final priorities and determine strategy and responsible parties for executing on the recommendations provided in the analysis and audit.
