Fred Dees Jr is actually working on his second term at Hive, starting five years ago as a SEO Analyst and re-joining in June 2017 as a Paid Search Analyst. Fred has worked in different industries, advertising on behalf of massive health systems and e-commerce clients, leveraging paid search and social media platforms to drive sales and leads. The ever-changing digital marketing landscape and increasing ability to target and define detailed audiences keeps Fred continually interested in learning as much as he can and discovering new trends.
Fred graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Marketing. He has lived in many different locations, from Charleston, SC to Aspen, CO to Asheville NC and two stints in Raleigh. Fred has worked in sales and advertising in many different industries, and has also logged two years as touring musician. The many miles and people met have given Fred a unique ability to relate and work with people from all walks of life.
Fred believes that music can heal wounds and bridge gaps, worldwide and across all types of people. He started a music program at a local Boys and Girls Club, where he teaches drums to students between the grades of 1-6 two days a week, and recently put on a fundraiser to provide musical equipment for all of the kids.
Though he’s no longer hitting the road, going from gig to gig, Fred still enjoys playing music with friends and attending concerts from all kinds of bands. He’s an avid collector of records, and hosts a podcast called Album Swap where he swaps and reviews records. One of Fred’s favorite things to do while listening to his records is cook, always interested in new recipes and cooking techniques. He also enjoys discovering new restaurants with friends throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. And we can’t forget his Clemson Tigers!!
