Sales and Business Development
Having experience in the digital marketing environment is an absolute MUST for this position. If you are not familiar with SEO, pay-per-click, analytics or social media marketing then you can stop reading. We are looking for someone who has either sold these services before or has actually performed them for clients in the past. If you think you have a knack for sales and are ready to jump right in, then by all means read onward!
We are looking for someone to challenge ideas and processes for our team to be better, that we can similarly push, and ultimately possess the skills needed to identify and tackle complex problems, with the humility to know and ask when they need help. As an agency, we tailor our strategies, methods, and deliverables to our client’s needs. If you are stuck on any single method or checklist, then you can stop reading.
Day to day would be typical agency sales work:
- Prospecting and developing new leads
- Analyzing customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying opportunities and scoping potential
- Reaching out to leads via email and video conferencing (Zoom)
- Cold outreach to researched lead prospects
- Creating and maintaining a database of contacts (SharpSpring/Hubspot)
- Updating and building sales/lead pipeline
- Running reports and building proposals targeted at potential leads
- Seeking out new lead sources
- Helping to create and manage both in-person and digital conferences
Qualities and desired experience:
- Previous experience either selling or performing digital marketing services is a must
- Ability to uphold ethical selling practices
- Ability to create proposals and pitch decks when needed
- Quick, efficient computer skills and strong multi-tasking abilities
- Desire to be good at sales, quickly become autonomous, and close your own deals
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentations skills
- Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player
- Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
- Positive mindset with go-getter mentality
- The ability to interpret and present marketing analytics, identifying opportunities to help prospects maximize results
- Experience using SharpSpring, or similar marketing automation tools
